Body posture and balance start from the ground up – from how we step and bear weight on our feet. Any imbalance at this level can directly or indirectly influence, in a chain reaction, the joints, muscles, and even the correct functioning of the temporomandibular joint.
During postural evaluations, we will observe:
- clinical analysis of the foot, by examining the mobility, stability, and alignment of the joints;
- the baropodometric plate investigation, which provides a precise image of plantar pressure distribution, center of gravity, and support pattern in static and dynamic conditions.
This modern and comprehensive approach allows for:
- detection of alignment deviations at the foot level;
- highlighting compensations that occur throughout the entire joint chain;
- correlation of postural imbalances with possible temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunctions, often overlooked but with a major impact on general health.
The goal of the evaluation is not just to observe symptoms, but to understand the deep-seated causes of pain, tension, or instability.
Thus, personalized solutions can be proposed – from recommendations for footwear and/or functional orthoses, to rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary collaborations. Through this integrated perspective, postural evaluation becomes an essential step towards healthy posture, fluid movement, and a better quality of life.
